Elder Brandon Scott Bennett

Well he is officially off!!! Brandon left on his mission to Montevideo Uraguay. He flew off heading for the Boines Aries Argentina MTC where he will be for approximately two months before heading to Uraguay. My family and me of course had a hard time letting Bran go. I love my bro so much!! I can't wait for him to get to Uraguay and touch those peoples lives like he has touched mine. I look up to Brandon so much and I am so proud of the young man he has become. He's going to be an awesome Missionary!! GO GET 'EM BRAN!!! I LOVE YOU!!

The Holidy!!

WOW!! This was quite the busy Holiday! It all started on Sunday with Brandon's farewell. Brandon did a fabulous job as expected and I enjoyed the afternoon spending time with family and friends. The next few days were busy with last minute shopping and family parties. On Monday night we got Mike's family and mine together before Bran left on his mission for two years. We went to Fats Cats and enjoyed ourselves by eating lots of Pizza and bowling. Then came Christmas Day which was sweet. It was a joyful holiday as it should be, but also one full of many tears with Brandon leaving the next day and Lacey's last Christmas at home. All together though, it was a fabulous Holiday. I know i am truly grateful for my family and for all the do for me! Hope you all had a great Christmas as well!

Bran's Mission

Oh gees!! Brandon is leaving Dec. 26 for his mission and i dont wan't to see him go for 2 WHOLE YEARS!!!! I am soo excited for him and i know he is going to do GREAT because of his experiences already down at college!! My whole entire family will miss him dearly and especially my parents. We all look up to him and his example to us. He was called to Uraguay in South America. That is his flag on the left. He is very excited to go bring the gospel to the world!! I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH BRANDON!!!

Sistas

This post is to my sister, Lacey. She is one of a kind, but she has her moments even though I still luv her. She knows how to party and make fun when necessary. Lacey can be very onery sometimes but again i still love her!! She does tons and tons of favors for me. I don't think i could thank her enough even though sometimes i might not show it. From cutting my hair to filling in for mom when she is not here, she is the BEST!! We were too close to be just friends so God made us sisters!! Luv you lace!!

My Most AWESOME MOM

I just thought I'd dedicate this post to my best friend... My Mom!! I don't think i ever thank her enough or give her the credit she deserves. Although she has many crazy quirks like her obsession with the movie Tommy boy, her impossible quest to have George Strait sealed to her someday, and her love for crunching numbers... I still love her!!My mom is the greatest and I just wanted to thank her for all the countless hours she spent sewing my queen clothes even though I'm sure she'd rather been doing something else. She is such a big role model of mine and i look up to her in so many ways. She is such a strong person. I admire her for her strength and ambition for life, because heaven knows we'd all like to give up sometime, but she never does!! I am so grateful for such a good mother who has such a great love for the savior and his gospel. She has taught me well. I heard a new song by Taylor Swift that reminds me of my mom, "I know you were on my side even when I was wrong and I love you for givin me your eyes, staying back and watching me shine and i didn't know if you knew, so i'm takin the time to say that I had the best day with you today!" I've had some of the best days with my mom and I love her! If I can be half the woman she is someday, I'll be doing just fine!! I love you mom, thanks for being my best friend and thanks for always believing in me!!

Basketball!!

This Seasons Basketball is going great!!! Our team is 7-1, and I'm surprised we even won those games with some of the dumb calls the Ref's made (long story short)!!! We are soon to be starting the girls 2nd session!! We had our Weber County Game on Monday for playoffs, but we lost!! :( We have 2nd session though!! Oh and I am probably trying out for the Junior High team next year and I hope I'll make it, not that 7th graders play a whole bunch!! Anyway I'm having ton's of fun with basketball!!

EXCITING, YET SAD NEWS!!

My big brother, Brandon came home for Thanksgiving, and I was sooo excited to see him untill he brought out his duck call!! He is so entertained by that thing, so he started blowing it. He will also be coming home for Christmas, but will be leaving for his mission the day after. Then he will be going back to college after his mission!! It feels like he has moved out!! Anyway, for those of you who don't know, Brandon received a full ride scholarship to play football for the New Mexico Military Institute. It is a prep school for the Military, so athough Bran is not going into the Military he has to live the lifestyle. He has been gone since August and He's had a lot of fun and enjoyed making new friends and of course playing football. (Go Bronco's!!) Here are some pics to fill you in on what he's been doing for the past four months.



Brandon is in Roswell, NM where supposedly the alien UFO landed. The entire City is covered with Alien stuff. They are loony, and Brandon is even starting to believe in some of it!! What are they doing to my brother???


This is what my brother lives, eats, and breaths for. He started middle linebacker which was quite an accomplishment for a freshman who's a whole lot "Smaller" than those big college boys. Way to go Bran!!



Being down there has been really good for Brandon. He has learned a lot of new good habits! He now eats like a gentleman, does his own laundry, and even has a clean room!!! The picture of him at the bottom is part of his ritual to get his uniforms ready for inspection. He is polishing his brass in this pic trying not to get any fingerprints on it!! Ha Good Luck!!


This one is some of the buddies Brandon has made while down there. Brandon has started his mission early I believe, Bryce is Brandon's best buddy down there. Bryce is going to be baptized on December 6th. How awesome!! I guess it goes to show all you need to do is be a good friend and example. P.S. Bran was called to Uraguay and leaves December 27th.

I am so proud of my brother and the good example he has been while away. He has touched so many lives and what a blessing he is to our family. I look up to him so much! Love ya Bran!!

NO WAY!!!!!!

Well just like 2 months ago, I think, my sister got engaged!! She was so excited!! The big day is June 6, 2009 and she has already picked out a wedding dress!!!! Her Fiance is at a Training Camp, and he doesn't get back til February!! It seems like she writes him a letter everyday!! She misses him tons!! She will be visting him on Thanksgiving though so she will get to see him!!
